E.U.: European Commission approves merger of tech companies

The European Commission has approved a proposed deal for Tech Data Europe to acquire Specialist Computer Holding’s IT distribution business, noting the merger shows no threat to competition as the merged companies will continue to face rivals in the market. Tech Data Europe is a wholesaler of IT, as well as telecommunications and electronics products to consumers.
