U.K.: Rynair ousted from Stansted airport bid

Rynair, an Irish airline carrier, and Stansted’s biggest customer, has forgone its decision to buy the airport, which went for sale in August, after its owner, BAA, had indicated it would not sell the facility to any bidding consortium that included the low-cost carrier. First-round bids for the airport are due by the end of the month, and the sale is expected to raise up to £1bn.
