DigitalGlobe, a satellite-imagery company, planned satellite combination with GeoEye, another satellite-imagery company, are being asked to provide more information, according to the DOJ and are related to anti-trust matters. The deal also needs approval from the Federal Communications Commission and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. In July, DigitalGlobe reached a deal to acquire fellow satellite-imagery company GeoEye for about $450 million USD, turning the tables after GeoEye made public a bid for DigitalGlobe in May. DigitalGlobe rejected that $805 million USD offer, but analysts thought a tie up would help both with concerns about funding.
