More teeth for the OFT – reform bill lowers hurdle for finding price-fixing

The House of Commons has a bill on the floor that would change the culpability requirement for finding price-fixers guilty. Following a drought of trials – only two in nine years – the Office of Fair Trading may no longer have to prove those accused of price-fixing acted “dishonestly,” removing the mental element from the equation much like in the current laws of the United States.
