Commission seeks public comment on general block exemption regulation

After almost four years of application, the European Commission is inviting public comment on the general block exemption regulation (GBER). The GBER exempts certain categories of public support from the obligation of prior notification to the Commission. Generally, exemptions apply to aid that supports SMEs; research, development and innovation; environmental protection; employment; training, and; regional investments.
