    The European Commission has Auchan’s proposed acquisition of Magyar Hipermarket Kereskedelmi Kft. The Commission studied the overlap created by the transaction in the market for the retail sale of daily consumer goods in non-specialized stores in Hungary. It determined that rivals pose “strong competitive pressure” and that new players have recently entered what the Commission describes as a “highly dynamic” market.
