The Finnish Competition Authority has voiced its suspicions that pharmacies are not stocking parallel import drugs as they are legally required to do. Parallel imports are cheaper versions of brand name drugs; they differ from generics because they are identical to Finnish drugs, but imported from cheaper EU states and repackaged. The watchdog has singled out the University Pharmacy group as the only pharmacy that complies with the law.
