Two Canal+ deals scrutinized by Autorité de la concurrence

The Autorité de la concurrence has announced that it will launch an in-depth investigation of TPS’s 2006 acquisition by Canal+. The watchdog had withdrawn its approval for the deal in September 2011.

    The Autorité will also examine Canal+’s proposals to buy the channels Direct 8 and Direct Star in a 465 million euro deal.
