Supreme Commercial Court approves FAS request to open antitrust case against St. Petersburg government

The Supreme Commercial Court has approved the Federal Antimonopoly Service’s request to open an antitrust case against the St. Petersburg municipal government. FAS alleges that city officials ignored two bids when St. Petersburg selected the Strong company in 2010 to lease two land plots for design and survey works for a future shopping center.

    The FAS ordered the city to reverse its decision and hold an auction for the land leases, but the St. Petersburg Commercial Court had not found any antitrust law violations.
