Universal Surveillance Systems’ antitrust lawsuit has survived Checkpoint Systems’ motion to dismiss. U.S. District Judge John Adams of the Northern District of Ohio found that the complaint met all requirements to move forward. Universal Surveillance Systems is the largest privately held company offering security solutions; Checkpoint holds an 80 percent market share in electronic article surveillance systems.
