UPC Polska fined for hiding data from UOKiK in proceeding to evaluate Aster acquisition
The Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, the UOKiK, fined UPC Polska PLN 775,000 for concealing key information in the notification of intended concentration. Polish law requires the provision of true and complete information when submitting an intention of concentration to the UOKiK. UPC did not turn over documents containing market analysis revealing that the concentration would significantly impact certain local markets. These documents were crucial for the proceedings regarding its acquisition of Aster.
