    Per a statement from Clifford Chance, Sinclair’s appointment marks the firm’s third antitrust partner hire in the past 12 months.     Sinclair re-joins Clifford Chance after spending four years at Amazon, where she served as senior counsel advising on UK and EU competition matters. According to the firm’s statement, she brings with her a wealth of experience from both the private and public sectors, including previous work at the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). Her background spans merger control, antitrust investigations, and regulatory frameworks such as the EU’s Digital Markets Act (DMA) and the UK’s Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill (DMCC).

    Per a statement from Nelson Jung, partner and head of London Antitrust at Clifford Chance, Sinclair’s expertise will enhance the firm’s ability to support clients through increasingly complex regulatory challenges. The firm emphasized that Sinclair’s in-depth understanding of digital markets will be particularly valuable as competition authorities continue to ramp up oversight in that domain.

    Clifford Chance has recently handled a string of high-profile antitrust matters, including advising Delivery Hero in resolving an EU Commission investigation into alleged collusion in the food delivery industry. The firm also advised Aviva on its acquisition of Direct Line Group and guided BlackRock through its purchase of HPS Investment Partners, further highlighting its growing portfolio of cross-border merger and regulatory engagements.
