    The FTC has approved Pentair’s $4.6 billion acquisition of Tyco’s flow-control business. Pentair is a Minnesota-based company that makes water treatment products and electronic enclosures. Tyco is in the process of splitting its business. Following the transaction, Pentair will be the largest company in its sector and will have an increased presence in Asia.
