ACCC considering complaints that power companies are frustrating renewable energy projects

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission will look at complaints from the Greens against AGL, Origin, and TRUenergy. The complaints allege that the three power companies are using their market power to withhold power purchase agreements to sell electricity generated from competing renewable energy projects. Greens deputy leader Christine Milne identifies wind farms as a particular project that has had its efforts stymied.
