ACCC looks into petrol price sharing arrangements

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has launched a formal investigation into petrol price sharing arrangements. The ACCC’s press release did not indicate which companies were being targeted, and only referred to the “private and very frequent exchange of comprehensive price information between the major petrol retailers.” The arrangements would violate the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.
