The Mexican antitrust regulator, Comision Federal de Competencia (Cofeco), voted on April 30 to overturn America Movil’s $1 billion fine. Cofeco had fined the company for monopolistic practices last year. Bloomberg reports that reversing the fine means that the regulator will get to scrutinize America Movil more closely. The company did not indicate in its statement if its concessions have been accepted. More information on the vote will be available later.
