    Even though the freedom to compete is guaranteed by the Colombian Supreme Constitutional Law, during the last years has become a tendency of the intervention of the Criminal Law in market and fair competition matters. In this sense, the new criminal law is focusing on economic issues by punishing or restricting any conduct that attempts against fair competition principles. In this article I would like to draw your attention over the fact the criminal statutes are legitimated to protect the economic and social order, even when a conduct arises too in administrative sanctions.
