Australia: Queensland Competition Authority veteran announces retirement

A veteran of the Queensland Competition Authority has decided to retire after 15 years. Chief John Hall has announced his retirement from the authority he helped build from the ground-up. Hall, according to QCA chairman Dr. Malcolm Roberts, was a vital piece in establishing the QCA as a leader in Australia for competition enforcement; Hall grew the authority from its initial four-member staff in 1997 to the more than 70 members it holds today. Hall also spent two decades at the Queensland Treasury.
