Australian competition watchdog probes Qantas Pan-Asian Cooperation

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, in a probe of the Qantas Group’s proposed strategy of closely operating with Jetstar Asia, will continue to withhold approval until it receives more information, including lists of where the different airline routes overlap. Despite warnings from Qantas that it would not be able to operate effectively across Asia without the measures, the ACCC seeks a more accurate assessment of potential reduction in competition.
