Bahamas: Antitrust regulator close to finishing telecom investigation

The Bahamas’ competition authority has reported it is nearing the end of its investigation into the Bahamas Telecommunications Company’s network outages that occurred last summer. The Utilities Regulation and Competition Authority’s directory of policy and regulations Stephen Bereaux responded to questions as to why the investigation had taken this long, noting that the authority’s priority was to do a thorough job. Bereaux says BTC had cooperated fully with investigations and the authority’s next step is to prepare a report on the investigation.
