Belgium: Renowned Ashurst partner makes move to Mayer Brown

Ashurst partner Julian Ellison, a renowned expert in competition litigation, has reportedly made the move to Mayer Brown’s antitrust team in Brussels.

    Ellison had been at Ashurst since 1989, say reports, but will begin his new post next Monday. While unconfirmed, the hire is likely part of Mayer Brown’s recent efforts to strengthen its competition practice in Brussels.

    Ellison’s history includes high-profile cases within EU and UK competition policy, notably within the cartels and transport sectors.
