La agencia reguladora de la competencia brasileña, CADE, definió en su sesión del 22 de abril de 2015 que las empresas Brasfrigo Ltda, Brasfrigo SA y Goiás Verde Ltda deberán pagar un total de más de 3 millones de reales, como sanción por la práctica de ‘gun jumping’- el consumar una transacción de fusión antes de recibir la autorización de la autoridad correspondiente. La sanción responde al acuerdo de compra de los activos de Brasfrigo por parte de Goiás Verde, con la cual esta empresa adquirió todas las plantas y marcas comerciales de Brasfrigo, operadora de las marcas de vegetales enlatados Jurema, Jussara, Tomatino y Terrabela.
