El pasado miércoles, el regulador antimonopolio de Brasil impuso multas a Morgan Stanley y Royal Bank of Canada por un total de 42.9 millones de reales (US$11.6 millones) por interferir con los tipos de cambio aplicadas a los clientes, informó Reuters.
Los bancos están acusados de confabularse para manipular los diferenciales entre las ofertas de compra y venta en las transacciones en el mercado spot en el extranjero que involucran al real brasileño.
CADE ya había multado a Barclays, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank AG, HSBC Holdings y JPMorgan Chase por 183.5 millones de reales en 2016 como parte de la investigación.
