São Paulo-based firm Cascione Pulino Boulos Advogados announced the lateral hire of its new head of antitrust law. Denise Junqueira, formerly a senior associate at Trench Rossi Watanabe Advogados, joins as the newest partner of the firm’s Competition and Antitrust department.
New partner Denise Junqueira is an expert on merger control issues, remedy negotiations, and antitrust investigations related to abuse of dominance and cartel cases. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, a Bachelor of Economics from Universidade de São Paulo, and an LL.M. in Antitrust Law from New York University, where she spent a year as a research scholar and teaching assistant.
Ms. Junqueira is a licensed attorney in São Paulo as well as New York and draws on her five years in the United States—during which she worked at the Federal Trade Commission, Criterion Economics, and practiced law at Duane Morris LLP – —to advise major foreign clients from the banking, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, and energy sectors.
