Brazil: Clearance for wind farm joint venture a breeze

Brazil’s antitrust authority CADE has reportedly given clearance to a state-run utility to launch a joint venture with a wind turbine manufacturer.

    Utility Copel will partner with Weg to develop a power plant in the nation, according to reports. The joint venture will be majority owned by Weg, which will have an 87 percent stake in the project.

    Financial details of the venture were not disclosed by the parties, reports say.
