Brazil: Prysmian warns of potential US$100M-plus fine in antitrust case

Cable maker Prysmian said on Monday, February 11, it could have to pay a fine of up to €96 million (US$108 million) in an antitrust case opened in Brazil in 2011.

    The Brazilian antitrust authority—the CADE Tribunal—is expected to issue a decision that will be provisionally enforceable. The decision could be challenged before the Brazilian courts, Prysmian said in a statement.
