Canada: Bureau drops case against waste management co

Progressive Waste Solutions Ltd. has been saved from the threat of an antitrust case brought on by the Canadian Competition Bureau, according to reports. The Bureau has apparently withdrawn its charges originally accusing the company of breaching a consent agreement with BFI Canada Inc., though later retracted the charges after finding a “procedural error” of information inadvertently given to investigators.
