Canada: Competition Bureau spreads awareness with first Anti-cartel Day

Canada’s Competition Bureau is celebrating Fraud Prevention Month with the establishment of the first-ever Anti-cartel Day, according to a press release.

    Commissioner of Competition John Pecman announced the day on Monday as authorities look for more ways to boost awareness of the consequences of anticompetitive cartels.

    According to the Bureau, the day is as much for businesses as it is for consumers. “The Bureau wants to help businesses understand how developing a good corporate compliance program can enhance a company’s competitiveness,” the Bureau stated.
