Canada: New Commissioner of Competition announced

The Minister responsible for the Competition Bureau has announced the appointment of the newest Commissioner of Competition for Canada. According to a press release, Minister Pradis announced John Pecman will take the five-year position. Up until the appointment, Pecman has served within every enforcement branch of the Bureau and has been with the regulator since 1984. The appointment may not come as a surprise to some as Pecman has most recently been serving as Interim Commissioner of Competition.
