Canada: Sticky chocolate price-fixing scandal gets cleaned up with settlement

A class action settlement against major chocolate companies in Canada could soon be resolved as the defendants agreed to pay a $23 million settlement, according to reports.

    Cadbury Adams Canada, Hershey Canada, Nestle Canada and Mars Canada were all sued for allegations of fixing chocolate prices; the four chose to settle but continue to deny any wrongdoing.

    The settlement offer was cleared by courts in Ontario, British Columbia and Quebec, say reports.
