Channel Islands: New competition chief named

    Michael Byrne will lead the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities after six months as the agency’s interim chief. Byrne follows former CICRA head Andrew Riseley, who left after two years at the position.

    In a statement, Byrne said that his priority will be to ensure “that consumers across the Channel islands receive the best value, choice and access to high quality services.” Telecommunications will also receive a significant part of the CICRA’s attention, reports say.
