A potential merger between Chile-based shipping firm Compania SudAmericana de Vapores and a larger German counterpart Hapag-Lloyd has yet to reach a conclusion as the Chilean firm said Friday that merger talks are ongoing and no deal has been made.
Earlier reports had said the two were edging closers to a decision as Vapores looks to a way out of financial struggles through a Hapag-Lloyd purchase.
But despite earlier reports, Vapores said no acquisition deal has been made yet.
