The Taiwan Fair Trade Commission announced Tuesday it has received notice of a withdrawn application to acquire Next Media. Reports say a consortium of buyers had planned to buy the media group, including Formosa Plastics Group’s chairman. Next Media has announced it will maintain its print businesses in Taiwan. The deal had an original deadline of March 27 to be completed.
