China/US: China Airlines pays $90M in US antitrust suit

China Airlines will reportedly pay a hefty antitrust fine after the company was sued by US consumers for allegedly fixing air cargo shipment prices.

    China Airlines has agreed to pay a $90 million fine, a settlement that follows 21 other airlines’ agreement to settle, reports say. Shipping consumers filed the lawsuit against the airlines in New York.

    Since, plaintiffs have been awarded more than $835 million in total settlement deals, reports say.
