Commercial court fines Russian Post for municipal stamp contract

A commercial court has ordered Russian Post to pay $21,560 in fines for antitrust violations. The Federal Antimonopoly Service had fined the Russian Post for its refusal to enter into a municipal contract for supplying stamps under terms stipulated by the Civil Code and the law on placing orders. The law allows terminating such contracts only by both parties’ agreement or by court, and the Russian Post had insisted on the possibility of unilateral contract termination.
