Composers file complaint against BSkyB, ProSieben, RTL over publishing rights
The European Composer and Songwriter Alliance has announced that it filed an antitrust complaint with the European Commission against broadcasters. Among the accused broadcasters are British Sky Broadcasting, ProSiebenSat.1 Media and RTL Group. The Alliance alleges broadcasters of coercing composers to assign publishing rights for contracts to write music for television. The complaint also charges that broadcasters and production companies collude over this practice.
