Denmark/US: Bioagricultural JV inked with Monsanto

Danish enzymes manufacturer Novozymes announced Tuesday it reached an agreement with US-based agricultural giant Monsanto, a profit-sharing partnership that will see Monsanto paying Novozymes $300 million upfront.

Reports say the deal, which will require antitrust clearance, is expected to close early next year.

Details on the partnership were scarce, but reports say Novosymes announced the venture as part of a way to develop bioagricultural technology.
