Dr. Georg M. Berrisch was tapped to join Baker Botts LLP as a partner at the firm’s Brussels office, according to a press release, as the law firm taps Dr. Berrisch’s renowned experience in competition policy throughout the European Union.
Dr. Berrisch has represented clients in nearly 200 cases before the EU Court of Justice and the General Court of the EU, said the press release, in an array of matters including antitrust. In all, Dr. Berrisch has more than two decades of competition law and trade experience.
The Brussels office opened last September by partners Catriona Hatton and Paul Lugard.
Dr. Berrisch will be joining Baker Botts from Covington & Burling LLP.
