The FTC has appointed two new deputy directors to its Bureau of Economics.
Ken Heyer is the new Deputy Director for Antitrust. Heyer joins the FTC from the DOJ, where he was Chief of the Economic Analysis Group’s Competition Policy Section. His start date is June 18.
The Deputy Director for Health Care and Antitrust, a newly-created position, is Leemore Dafny. Dafny comes from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, and her expertise covers competition in healthcare markets. She will join the FTC on August 1.
