The European Commission has cleared Avenance Italia’s proposed acquisition of Gemeaz Cusin. Both companies are active in the provision of contract foodservices in Italy, especially in the defense and public security services sector.

Moreover, the parties’ strong position in the market for contract foodservices in the defense sector is attributed to one contract that will expire in 2012.
