Germany/France: Households goods conglomerate strikes second deal in days

Germany’s leading household goods company Henkel has reportedly struck a deal to acquire Spotless, based in France, the second acquisition Henkel has inked in a week.

    Reports say Henkel will acquire the French home cleaning firm for $1.3 billion. The company is currently owned by UK-based BC Partners and its portfolio includes Dylon and Eau Ecarlate laundry products.

    The deal follows just days after Henkel announced an agreement to acquire three US hair care brand names in a $368 million transaction.
