Global: Antitrust head of Akin Gump makes move to more ‘international’ firm
The former antitrust chairman of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld has reportedly joined the team of Squire Sanders in Washington D.C., according to reports. Mark Botti has joined the Squire Sanders D.C. branch along with two other partners from Akin Gump. According to reports, Botti says that he decided to join Squire Sanders so he could work on a “more international platform.” His new firm holds lawyers on four continents. Also according to report, Squire Sanders has brought on the three in preparation for what they see as “enhanced regulatory scrutiny over what businesses are doing.”
