Global: International Competition Network gets new chairman

The world’s most crucial association of international competition authorities, the International Competition Network, announced its new chair to be Andreas Mundt, current president of Germany’s competition regulator. Mundt will succeed Eduardo Perez Motta, the head of the Mexican Federal Competition Commission.

The ICN is made up of 126 competition regulators from around the globe an aims to collaborate on competition best practices and share antitrust experiences to strengthen the role of competition law. The ICN was founded in 2001.

In a statement, Mundt described his new position as “a great honor.”
