Government to probe Eagle’s Nest and Usuthu Poultry for dealings in egg market

The Swaziland Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade will investigate whether there were any dealings between Eagle’s Nest and rival Usuthu Poultry. Eagle’s Nest is the nation’s top buyer and seller of eggs. The probe is to determine whether Eagle’s Nest has acquired Usuthu Poultry, and if the two companies colluded to fix the prices of eggs, among other anticompetitive practices.
