India: CCI announces new member appointment

The Competition Commission of India has announced the appointment of a new member, a former Director in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Reports say U C Nahta will join the CCI for a period of five years.

He joins the watchdog as one of six members, as well as a chairperson. According to reports, one vacancy still remains, though details are unavailable about the watchdog’s plans to fill it.
