The Competition Commission of India has announced it will rule on an actor’s recent complaint over the Theatre Owners’ Association and Distributors’ Association’s decision not to screen the actor’s film, as it would premier direct-to-TV. Actor and producer Kamal Haasan is alleging abuse of dominance by the Associations regarding his recent film Vishwaroopam after Haasan decided to premier the movie on television a day before its release in theatres, scheduled for the 11th of this month. The theatre release date has now been delayed by two weeks.
