India: Three new CCI members made official

 |  March 23, 2014

India’s government has finalized the appointment of three new members to the Competition Commission of India, according to reports, though the names of those members are unconfirmed.

Sources say among the three new appointments include a former Indian Administrative Service officer and a former Indian Economic Service officer. The three are expected to begin operating at their posts in the coming weeks.

The appointments are set to fill two current CCI vacancies, while a third vacancy is set to appeal with member Geeta Gouri’s departure next month, reports say.
