Insulation company owner pleads guilty to bid-rigging NYPH contracts

 |  July 12, 2012

David Porath, the owner of an insulation service company, has pleaded guilty to bid-rigging contracts for New York Presbyterian Hospital (NYPH) re-insulation services. From 2000 to 2005, Porath’s co-conspirators submitted intentionally high bids so that Porath’s lower bid would win his company the contract.

Three companies and two individuals that defrauded NYPH were sentenced yesterday. The DOJ is continuing to investigate kickback schemes and fraud at NYPH.
