Jersey: Telco successfully delays introduction of new competition

 |  December 1, 2013

Jersey’s telco JT has reportedly successfully delayed the introduction of new market competition in the home phone sector after JT took the Jersey Competition Regulatory Authority to court over the ordeal.

Reports say the JCRA had planned to introduce new competition, but JT claimed the regulator did not adequately consider the company’s views on the matter. The court reportedly agreed.

JT denies criticism that it is looking to block new competition altogether.
