Johnson & Johnson offers concessions for EU to approve Synthes acquisition

 |  February 22, 2012

Johnson & Johnson has offered concessions to gain EU approval for its planned acquisition of Synthes. Johnson & Johnson is the world’s second-largest seller of health products and Synthes manufactures medical tools. The $18.89 billion deal would make Johnson & Johnson the market leader in devices for trauma victims. No further details are available on the offered concessions.

The European Commission will rule on the acquisition by April 26.
